Painting died
with the last century. Pale, tired and out of breath. It's undisputed.

From this Day Forward...
Painting is Dead!
running July 10 - July 31
opening reception: Saturday July 10, 7-10pm
In
painting you try to force something to happen. In photography you find it. We
live in a world of the moment, where things happen. Painting is indirect,
photography is direct. Photography looks outward to the world, painting
looks inward to the individual. Photography is not so much a statement about the world, but
a piece of it. Photography is the only art that challenges and refreshes
its viewer's response to the world. Painting. Painting is dead! - from
the compilation BACK TO ZERO: VOICES FOR
A NEW CENTURY
